How I become a physio and deep tissue massage therapist in St Andrews, Fife, UK

A very longggggg time ago I got lucky and landed a physiotherapist position in one of the best resorts in the world, Chiva-Som.

This is a pretigious health resort in Hua Hin, Thailand.

I didn’t realise that job would eventually lead me to St Andrews.

At Chiva-Som I had intensive training involving many things I didn’t learn in my university degree.

One of the things I learned at the health resort was deep tissue massage. I learned that from my manager who is an amazing physiotherapist.

She taught me to become a physiotherapist who treats patients in a holistic way.

I am still thankful to her until this day. The deep tissue massage that we all learned at Chiva-Som, is performed  unlike anywhere I have had in my entire life.

Our physio background made us stand out from the crowd.

The combination of physiotherapy education and Chiva-Som world-class training is a unique combination.

The hotel guests are from all around the world and the majority of them are VVIP level, like royal family and a big business owners.

The kind of people who you might expect to in Hello Magazine. So the massage needs to be uniques and of a very high standard.

After working there another lucky opportunity appeared, I moved to Muscat, Oman and worked as a senior physiotherapist in a very well known medical centre there.

I also met my Scottish husband in Muscat. So here I am in Scotland working as a physio and massage therapist in one of the most unique towns in Scotland, St Andrews.
